About Bustem

Bustem helps e-commerce brands identify and take down copycats, counterfeiters, scammers, and unauthorized sellers stealing their revenue. We scan marketplaces, websites, ads, and domains to detect brand abuse and enforce against it.

Bustem is bootstrapped, profitable, and growing fast: we hit $1M ARR within 60 days of launch and have since scaled to $5M+ ARR with zero outside investors. We’ve enforced takedowns on 100,000+ infringing listings, reclaimed over $1M in lost revenue, and now protect over 120+ brands. Fast-growing startups to global enterprises rely on Bustem to protect their revenue and their brand.

About the Role

We’re hiring an Executive Assistant to work directly alongside the founder as a true right hand — not just for Bustem, but across his full world of projects, including his personal brand and a fast-growing side referral business. The founder runs high-energy, with dozens of concurrent projects, ideas, and initiatives at any given time. This role exists to bring order to that — managing him toward greater efficiency, making sure nothing falls through the cracks, and being a steady, trusted presence he can lean on for both big and small things.

This is a “Velcro” role: you’re in the room, not just on the calendar. You’ll attend meetings, conferences, calls, and events alongside the founder, and be close enough to the work to actually help carry it — not just track it from a distance.

Who You Are:

  • Professional or native fluency in English required

  • 3–6 years of Executive Assistant experience, including at least 1–2 years supporting a founder, CEO, or senior executive in a fast-paced or startup environment

  • Hyper-organized and detail-oriented — you thrive on bringing structure to someone else’s fast-moving chaos

  • Low ego: you're genuinely excited to be an outstanding Executive Assistant — happy to dig into big strategic challenges and small logistical ones alike

  • Comfortable managing dozens of concurrent threads, projects, and priorities without dropping any of them

  • A steady, trustworthy presence whose judgment the founder can rely on across both business and personal matters

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong in Google or Microsoft Office Suite plus email and scheduling tools

  • Familiar with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Attio

  • Reachable when it matters: You have a set window to check messages if reached out to on a day like Saturday or Sunday and can reply within an hour or so

What You’ll Do

Be the Founder’s Right Hand

  • Manage the founder’s calendar, inbox, and daily schedule across Bustem, his personal brand, and other active projects

  • Block dedicated time together to work through small, easy-to-defer tasks before they pile up

  • Attend meetings, conferences, calls, and events alongside the founder — this role is hands-on, not remote-coordination-only

Own Executive Operations

  • Prepare agendas, take notes, and drive follow-up on action items from key meetings

  • Arrange domestic and international travel itineraries, accommodations, and logistics

  • Handle sensitive information with full discretion and professionalism

Facilitate Communication & Relationships

  • Act as a liaison between the founder and internal or external stakeholders, preparing key communications

  • Help manage the founder’s professional network — tracking relationships, prompting follow-ups, and keeping communication timely

  • Help bring structure to an active side referral business in the e-commerce space

What Great Looks Like

  • Nothing falls through the cracks — meetings, follow-ups, travel, and even small personal errands happen without last-minute scrambling

  • The founder can hand you ambiguous problems and trust they'll get handled without follow-up

  • You bring calm and structure to a high-energy, fast-moving environment without needing to be managed yourself

Location

On-Site, New York, NY

Compensation & Benefits

  • $90,000–$100,000 salary

  • Daily Lunch & Dinner Stipend

  • Direct, daily access to the founder and front-row visibility into how an early-stage startup is built

  • On-site in New York City

This range may span several levels that could apply to the role. Final salary depends on factors like level, relevant experience, skills, and expertise.
