About Bustem
Bustem helps e-commerce brands identify and take down copycats, counterfeiters, scammers, and unauthorized sellers stealing their revenue. We scan marketplaces, websites, ads, and domains to detect brand abuse and enforce against it.
Bustem is bootstrapped, profitable, and growing fast: we hit $1M ARR within 60 days of launch and have since scaled to $5M+ ARR with zero outside investors. We’ve enforced takedowns on 100,000+ infringing listings, reclaimed over $1M in lost revenue, and now protect over 120+ brands. Fast-growing startups to global enterprises rely on Bustem to protect their revenue and their brand.
About the Role
We're hiring a GTM & Ops Engineer to build the systems, automations, and AI-driven workflows that make every team at Bustem run leaner and faster. This isn't a software engineering role — it's a hybrid of operations, automation, and applied AI, focused on removing manual work wherever it slows the business down. You don't need to be able to write production code; you need to be fluent with no-code/low-code automation platforms, APIs, and AI agent tools.
You'll work across our three biggest functions: GTM (prospecting, enrichment, outreach, CRM), Operations, and Client Success / Product Specialists (client onboarding, case management, reporting). Rather than owning one department's tooling, you'll be the person who builds and connects the systems that let a lean team operate like a much larger one.
Who You Are:
Have worked in an operations engineering, GTM/revenue operations, or growth engineering capacity (agency experience is a plus)
Have hands-on experience with automation and enrichment tooling (e.g., Clay, Zapier, Make, or similar workflow/data-waterfall platforms)
Have built or orchestrated AI agents to filter, qualify, summarize, or follow up on work automatically — leads, tickets, cases, or internal requests
Think in systems and workflows, not one-off scripts or siloed spreadsheets
Fast, resourceful, and comfortable operating in an early-stage, still-being-defined environment
Comfortable context-switching across departments and picking up the specific tools each team already uses (CRM, support/ticketing, case management, etc.)
Main Job Responsibilities
Build & Orchestrate Cross-Functional Systems
Design and maintain workflows that connect GTM, Operations, and Client Success tools into a single, coherent system rather than disconnected point solutions
Build and orchestrate AI agents that filter, qualify, triage, or follow up automatically — across lead pipelines, client cases, and internal ops requests
Architect systems that connect prospecting, enrichment, outreach, and CRM for GTM; case management and reporting for CSM/Product Specialists; and recurring manual processes for Ops
Automate & Scale Across Departments
Automate repetitive tasks wherever they show up: list building, enrichment, sequencing and follow-up for GTM; case triage and status updates for CSM; recurring admin and reporting for Ops
Continuously test and refine automations based on real performance data, not assumptions
Build reusable playbooks and templates each team can rely on without needing to loop you in every time
Own Data Quality & Tooling
Maintain clean, reliable data across CRM, case management, and other operational tools
Evaluate and implement new AI/automation tools as needs surface across departments
Partner closely with GTM, Client Success, and Ops leads to understand what's actually slowing each team down, and prioritize accordingly
What Great Looks Like
Each department you touch has fewer manual, repetitive tasks and a steady flow of clean, reliable data
You continuously find and close automation gaps before someone has to file a request
You bring new AI/automation tooling to the team before anyone has to ask
You make it possible for a lean team to run GTM, Ops, and Client Success like a much larger organization

On-Site, New York, NY
